Hi there, since i am quite new to the Arduino and SEGMeter, i find the V2.0 does not have the 5V input, so how can i get it connect to the 5V Power?

Thanks,

Raymond

Hey Raymond,

There is 5v input on the arduino/fdti compatable header, and also the double 8 pin Dragino header, which also brings 12v used for the relays.

There is also an expansion board for the v2.0 and v2.1 that has 6-12v barrel jack inputs as well as regulators and other power goodies.

Let me know how you get on!

Thanks,

Sam.

So, that means if i plug the FTDI serial programming cable to the PC, then the USB Power supply can provide enough power to switch it on?

Thanks,

Raymond

That's Right!

Much simpler - this version was designed to mate directly to Dragino which provides the power, just like your PC can through the FTDI cable.

Hi Sam, please allow me to ask one more question.

Since i only bought the SEGmeter V2.1 and the 13mm Sensor Kit. So i need a Dragino to make it connect to the smartenergygroups sites?

Can i first pass the Sensor data through the USB to the PC first and vise versa?

Thanks so much!

Regards,

Raymond
