I have a water pulse sensor hooked up to a GEM pulse input and then coming into SEG. However, the GEM is reporting the cumulative value to SEG, not the reset-on-post value like it does for power consumption. As a result, the aggregate view in SEG is huge, because each data point already includes every past data point.

Can I change the GEM to reset on send for pulse counters, or can I change SEG to handle the cumulative value?

Hey bytenik,

Cumulative values are not handled by SEG, there are a bunch of other topics on this that go into the reasons why.  I believe it is possible to get the GEM gear to reset and send the period usage each data packet.

Do you know how to do that in GEM? I do that for energy but I can't find any option for counters.

I don't know... I've never even seen a GEM!

Though have a look through some of the other threads on the forums there are some people there who can help.
